The Manager Preboarding is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily operations of a team consisting of up to 25 onboarding coordinators who provide concierge-style onboarding support to future team members across the Wellstar Health System. This role ensures all new hires complete their pre-employment requirements efficiently and with a high-touch service experience, including drug screening, background checks, health screenings, and verification of education, licensure, and credentials. This leader must be able to help develop strategy, standard operating procedures, training materials and KPIs to ensure the Preboarding team is exceeding expectations. Experience with process reengineering and leading a large team that is results and outcome oriented is crucial. We are seeking an experienced manager that can lead and develop a team of human resources professionals, have crucial conversations, recognize top performance and who is committed to People Care. The Manager will drive process consistency, service excellence, and compliance while leveraging data, reporting, and best-in-class technology platforms to support timely and accurate onboarding. This leader plays a key role in optimizing the preboarding experience to reflect Wellstar's culture, operational and experience standards. Must have experience with best-in-class technologies, vendors, and practices to develop and support concierge preboarding across the health system. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 25 onboarding coordinators. This includes setting performance expectations, leading by example, and creating a culture of high performance and trust. Process Oversight: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure timely completion of all pre-employment requirements. Financial acumen, business processes and reporting skills necessary to improve and consistently drive outcomes. Quality & Compliance: Ensure all regulatory, legal, and policy requirements are met, including accurate documentation and verification of credentials. Technology Enablement: Leverage best-in-class technology to streamline workflows, improve automation, and analytics to ensure real-time status tracking. Service Delivery: Champion a concierge-level experience for all new hires and stakeholders, resolving escalations and removing process barriers. Analytics & Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on onboarding metrics (cycle time, completion rates, compliance status, etc.) to drive continuous improvement. Collaboration: Partner closely with Business HR, Employee Health, Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers, and IT to ensure alignment and seamless handoffs. Process Improvement: Identify gaps and recommend enhancements to improve the efficiency, quality, and consistency of the onboarding process. Bachelors Human Resources Management or Bachelors Other Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)

Required Minimum Experience

Minimum 5 years Manager or higher experience in HR, preboarding, onboarding, or talent acquisition. Must have 5-7 years demonstrated experience managing a best-in-class shared services HR Professional team to high performance at a manager or higher level. Required and Minimum 3 years Strong familiarity with HR systems (eg: Workday), background check vendors and processes as well as and onboarding technologies. Required and Knowledge of background checks, drug testing, health screenings, and credentialing processes. Required and Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated environment. Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching and performance management. High Excellent customer experience, service and interpersonal communication abilities.
