Launch Quality Engineer
Defiance GPS is looking for a talented Quality Engineer to join our team as a Launch Quality Engineer. This person will be responsible for protecting the customer through monitoring and evaluating internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, and engaging with sub-suppliers, among other duties. What You'll Do: (Responsibilities) Manage - guide, lead & direct quality technicians Understanding customer expectations of and needs from a product Developing quality control processes Supervising and monitoring production standards Monitoring and evaluating internal production processes Evaluating the final output of products to determine their quality Rejecting products that fail quality standards Engaging with customers and gathering product feedback Producing statistical reports on quality standards Reporting to upper management on quality standard issues Improving production efficiency and managing waste Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) High School Diploma or GED are required 3+ years of experience in Quality Systems Ability to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd) Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed Excellent attention to detail. Highly conscientious and diligent. Excellent verbal and written communication Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others. Capable of handling multiple projects without direct supervision. Analytical ability where problems are unusual or difficult. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. Familiarity with manufacturing operations, processes, and best practices. Basic understanding of quality principles. Knowledge/ability to implement lean manufacturing principles. What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications) College degree or equivalent training/experience. 5+ years of experience in Quality Systems. Experience in casting/propulsion processes and equipment. Multiple different manufacturing assignments with successful individual achievements or strong team-based achievements. Problem solving experience with Practical Problem Solving, 7-Diamonds, Red-X Quality control certification. Data analysis and statistical aptitude. Sponsorship:
