Hours: 40 Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. OR 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs. Pay: $34.8542 per hr. Location: This position works primarily at the ESL Farmington location. In addition to delivering classroom training in Farmington, incumbent is expected to deliver onsite training and mentoring throughout the Finger Lakes district branches located in Ontario, Seneca, and Cayuga counties. Must remain flexible to meet current and future business needs. Purpose of Position: Deliver trained, motivated and ready to work new talent, plus increase the capabilities of current ESL talent in support of ESLs learning and development strategy. Responsible for the delivery and evaluation of a variety of assigned learning solutions for the organization. Evaluates employee performance throughout the training process and provides feedback. Identifies and provides reinforcement training for existing employees and back-up support for the rest of the learning and development staff. Accountabilities: Improves performance of client groups through delivery and evaluation of learning and development solutions Facilitate structured learning experiences to all levels of employees on a wide range of assigned courses. Act as primary trainer for at least one key program and backup for others. Present information, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats, taking into consideration adult learning principles and the learning styles of all participants. Integrate learning technology into course facilitation where appropriate. Assist other Learning and Development professionals with needs assessment to determine the most appropriate solutions. Counsel, mentor, and coach employees by interpreting feedback, reinforcing positive skills, and identifying areas for improvement. Help employees adapt to the fast pace of organizational and technological change. Perform follow-up observation, identify remedial skill needs, and provide the appropriate training to improve competency and/or prepare employees for promotion. Serve as a content, policy, procedure and functions expert. Measure program results. Establish mechanisms to continually monitor and evaluate program effectiveness. Make revisions/adjustments as needed. Ensures training and development materials are correct and accurate in a rapidly changing environment Continually evaluate existing learning and development programs and recommend design, material, or technological enhancements. Identify changes to products, policies and procedures. Communicate changes and update materials as needed. Identify operational, procedural, and member satisfaction issues and make recommendations for revisions and/or improvements. Participates in the design and development of assigned new learning and development programs to ensure quality learning, on-time and within scope Provide consultation and input into the design, implementation and delivery of training programs sponsored by areas outside of the department. Consult / collaborate with managers and supervisors to identify and evaluate training programs required to meet the learning and development needs of ESL employees. Work with the training and development specialists, instructional designers and others who contribute to program development Increases knowledge & skill to provide ever-increasing value to ESL Support all other Learning and Development programs and initiatives. Conduct best practice research and leverage findings to enhance facilitation skills. Is flexible and adaptable to back-up other training and performance specialists and contribute where needed. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Education, Human Resource Development or 4 years of equivalent directly related experience required. Minimum 2 years demonstrated training development and facilitation, or group presentation experience required. Demonstrate an understanding of learning and development theory and methods, adult learning principles for individuals and groups, and the measurement of learning solution effectiveness. Proficiency with Windows based PCs, including operational knowledge of Microsoft software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required. Ability to train and coach employees from diverse backgrounds. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including coaching, team orientation, and motivational ability. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, working with rapidly changing business systems, products, policies and procedures. Creativity, problem solving, and analytical ability is expected.
