CNC Machine Operator Location : Batavia, Illinois Schedule
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay Rate
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines, including horizontal and vertical mills and lathes; familiar with a wide range of production operations Read and interpret complex prints, draw sketches, and make recommendations for correcting prints Select appropriate feeds and speeds, set up jobs according to prints and set-up procedures, and pull/adjust fixtures Participate in improvement efforts for production, service, quality, and safety Work closely with multiple departments to complete products Ensure quality performance meets or exceeds customer expectations Use all communication channels to share information quickly and accurately Ensure accuracy of inventory transactions; complete job-related documentation; determine whether tooling/fixtures are available or find approved substitutes Perform in-process inspections Maintain flexibility to work in other departments as cross-trained and required Be safety conscious Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications
High school diploma Effective communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening) at all organizational levels and functions Strong math, measurement, and written/verbal comprehension skills Ability to measure using established tolerances (micrometer, calipers) and understand quality specifications Ability to read basic prints, drawings, charts, and graphs Ability to understand manufacturing orders, routings, special changes, and other forms Proficient in using production equipment, hand tools, testing devices, and other tools/equipment Good mechanical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities Strong team collaboration skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Strong planning, prioritization, organization, and attention to detail Computer literate Contact Information
