Job Schedule: Greatly prefer candidates in NJ/NY and able to go into the office; would consider a remote-based EST candidate if they are well-qualified; many meetings and emails will involve colleagues from European countries/time zone).
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance and IT Implementations Project Manager to oversee non-study related projects, drive technical solution implementation, and provide essential support to the Leadership team in the US. The role involves taking charge of departmental financial management and efficient vendor coordination. As the co-pilot to the US Leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring successful project management across various initiatives.
This position will focus on the management of technical solutions, financial tracking, and vendor management in US. Work closely with stakeholders including but not limited to finance, procurement, IT legal, compliance, QA.
Requirements:
Financial Oversight & Budget Management
• Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to forecast, track, and manage project budgets effectively using Smartsheet.
• Finance Forecasting and Resource Planning: Manage finance forecasts and actuals and optimize resource planning to achieve project objectives effectively.
• Preparation and presentation of Quarterly and Annual Finance Packs for Senior Leadership Team and the wider organization.
Project & Systems Implementation Support
• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical acumen to oversee the implementation of technical solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to overcome project challenges.
• Be the main gate keeper for non-project initiative status tracking using tools being developed.
• Project Oversight: Take charge of non-study related project tracking, ensuring timelines are met, and goals are achieved efficiently.
• General Project Management Support: Provide essential support to the Leadership team, assisting them in various project management tasks and capture decision-making processes.
• Technical Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of technical solutions, working closely with relevant teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain project momentum and achieve desired outcomes.

Regular collaboration with European stakeholders (including the EU Head of Financials) is required.
Travel may be minimal or not required, depending on project needs.
Skills & Experience Finance and/or accounting background with strong problem-solving skills. 5+ years' industry experience as Finance/IT project manager (preferably in a global pharmaceutical) Basic knowledge and understanding of the principles, concepts, methods and standards of clinical research Smartsheet experience is a plus but experience in a similar tool is essential. Experience in procurement and financial tools, such as SAP needed. Strong knowledge and experience in financial management, Proven negotiation and facilitation skills, a team player and self-starter Proven track record addressing complex project deliverables, data analysis, summary, dashboard reporting. Firsthand experience in implementation of system, solutions using technology, solid understanding of software development life cycle. Project management professional (PMP) certification and/or training in project management preferred but not required.
