A waterfront-based business is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations. This role is central to ensuring efficient functioning of office tasks, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service to the public. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of administrative and operational responsibilities with minimal supervision. Responsibilities
Office Operations Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, mail handling, and managing phone communications Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the marina office environment Customer Service & Public Relations Serve as a point of contact for boat owners, renters, and general inquiries Provide information, manage reservations, and offer assistance to customers and visitors Record Keeping Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including customer records, rental agreements, billing data, and office files Financial Support Assist with billing, processing payments, tracking revenue and expenses May support budget management tasks as needed Communication & Documentation Draft, edit, and distribute professional correspondence and internal reports Ensure timely flow of information between departments and external parties Cross-Departmental Coordination Facilitate communication between operational teams and management Support internal scheduling, planning, and follow-up activities Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven administrative or office support experience (1+ year preferred) Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer use Customer service experience, particularly in a public-facing environment Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree in Business Administration or a related field Experience in office administration within a service-oriented industry Familiarity with marina operations or maritime environments is a plus, but not required Work Environment
Primary duties are performed in an office setting, located on or near a marina Role may occasionally require flexibility, including availability on weekends or holidays, especially during peak seasons or inclement weather
