Social Worker Msw
A Social Worker MSW collaborates with providers within the Department of Psychiatry and attends case conference meetings. Knowledge of local resources to suggest to families including resources for food security, rent and utility assistance, mental health counseling etc. Interface with local area schools to communicate patient needs and coordinate home bound instruction. Provides supervision to BA/BSW staff as needed. LCSW's provide clinical supervision to LSW and MSW staff, as assigned by their director Collaborates with providers within the Department of Psychiatry and attends case conference meetings. Knowledge of DCP&P reporting and collaboration as well as use of collaterals. Provides psychosocial assessments, (crisis intervention), psychoeducation, social work consultation, referrals, and Case Management. Collects patient and family information and history including education, mental health, substance abuse, and medical issues to determine patient's current needs. Ensures referrals to the appropriate agencies or organizations to connect patients to care. Knowledge of local resources to suggest to families including resources for food security, rent and utility assistance, mental health counseling etc Interface with local area schools to communicate patient needs and coordinate home bound instruction. Ability to request, send and expedite medical records. Documents all notes in EMR. Provides supervision to BA/BSW staff as needed. LCSW's provide clinical supervision to LSW and MSW staff, as assigned by their Director. Other duties as assigned. Experience Required: 1-2 years health care experience. Education Requirements: Requires a master's degree in social work (MSW). License/Certification Requirements: Current NJ SW License
