BASIC FUNCTION

The Branch Sales Manager collaborates with Business Development Managers, National Accounts, Strategic Accounts, and the Specification team to drive strategic alignment of the sales organization. This role focuses on owning and influencing key decision-maker relationships, shaping regional strategy, and delivering measurable growth in line with sales plans. The Branch Sales Manager will lead and mentor a team of Sales Executives, overseeing branch sales operations while driving long-term market share expansion and ensuring high performance across the branch boundaries. This role requires heightened accountability for strategic vision, market positioning, and organizational influence.

Specific Responsibilities

Market Strategy and Insight Demonstrate a deep understanding of market dynamics, including Kohler accounts, competitor activity, and external market influences, with an emphasis on forecasting and proactively addressing shifts in the marketplace. Identify long-term growth opportunities and lead strategic initiatives to penetrate untapped markets and optimize regional sales performance. Executive-Level Account Management

Establish and strengthen high-impact relationships with key decision-makers at Kohler accounts, becoming a trusted advisor at the executive level. Lead efforts to identify, secure, and grow strategic accounts that align with corporate priorities. Strategic Planning and Forecasting

Oversee the development, review, and approval of comprehensive annual sales forecasts and multi-year growth strategies. Translate national and regional sales strategies into actionable branch-level plans. Customer Portfolio Management

Direct the identification, approval, and onboarding of new distributors and retail customers. Partner with the sales team to rejuvenate and expand existing customer relationships to align with corporate growth objectives. Regional Sales Leadership

Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Sales Executives through effective coaching, talent management, and performance optimization. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the branch. Drive cross-functional alignment with sales operations, marketing, and pricing to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives. Operational Excellence

Establish and manage branch budgets (annual and capital), ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive ROI. Conduct in-depth analysis of sales trends, market opportunities, and operational expenditures to guide strategic decision-making. Oversee territory alignments and resource optimization to maximize sales potential. Competitive Positioning and Market Intelligence

Maintain comprehensive awareness of competitive market conditions, driving proactive strategies to keep Kohler competitive and profitable. Serve as the primary conduit for market intelligence, delivering actionable insights to corporate leadership. Industry Leadership

Represent Kohler as a thought leader at industry events, fostering relationships with associations and key stakeholders. Actively engage with industry groups to influence market trends and elevate Kohler's presence. Executive Collaboration

Work closely with regional and corporate leadership to align branch objectives with broader organizational goals. Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations to senior leadership regarding branch performance, market trends, and strategic opportunities.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is highly preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales or marketing experience, with demonstrated success in a leadership role managing teams and driving strategic initiatives. Proven ability to lead large-scale initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and deliver exceptional business results in a competitive marketplace.

The salary range for this position is $106,900 - $133,600 plus a competitive half-yearly sales incentive bonus. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. This position may be eligible for an Area Salary Differential based on the location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vison, 401k, and pension with eligibility to participate in the car program.
