Job Title: General Assembler
Location: Hudsonville, MI
Schedule: 1st Shift 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday
Pay: $19.45/hr
Position Summary: The General Assembler will be responsible for assembling environmental test chambers and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble components, subassemblies, and final products according to blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks.
Inspect parts and assemblies to ensure they meet quality requirements.
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules.
Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments on assemblies as needed.
Document work performed and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year of assembly or manufacturing experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and measurement tools.
Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
Good manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing floor environment with moderate noise levels.
PPE provided as required.
