Mental Health Technician Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to work in the behavioral healthcare field. The Mental Health Technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and activities of daily living. We are currently recruiting Mental Health Technicians to work on a per diem basis. The requirements for per diem are a minimum of four 12-hour shifts per month. Our shifts are 6:30am to 7:00pm OR 6:30pm to 7:00am. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors unit milieu and maintains a safe therapeutic environment for patients. Completes patient observation rounds timely, and accurately. Responds to patients in crisis and acts accordingly. Located in Shippensburg, PA, our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a psychology-related field is highly preferred. High School Diploma or GED required. Valid Drivers License with safe driving record.
