About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Research & Development Engineer supporting Coronary Therapies projects within the Interventional Cardiology Therapies division. This role will utilize a variety of new and proven technologies to deliver life-changing medical devices to patients and clinicians in support of BSC's mission. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week. Relocation is not available for this position at this time. Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time. As an R&D Engineer I, I support cross-functional projects within the Interventional Cardiology division, contributing to both exploratory research and early-stage product development. My role is adaptable, aligning with project needs and team priorities, with a focus that may include the design and development of next-generation cardiovascular devices. Your responsibilities will include: Assist in the design and development of new medical devices and technologies. Conduct literature reviews, feasibility studies, and prototype testing to support project objectives. Collaborate with preclinical teams to plan and execute preclinical studies for evaluating device prototypes. Analyze clinical data to support the development of new devices. Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations. Maintain accurate records of research activities and findings. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, scientists, and clinicians, to ensure successful project outcomes. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in medical technology and clinical research. Create a strong team culture around high expectations & high performance. In all actions, demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Required qualifications: Bachelor's or graduate level degree majoring in Biomedical Engineering Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location Must have at least 3 months -1 year of experience in medical device industry Must have prior Boston Scientific internship experience Preferred qualifications: Experience with intravascular ultrasound Understanding of percutaneous coronary intervention procedures Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills Excellent MS Office suite skills Refer to ID 84496218 when applying
