JOB SUMMARY Reporting to the Warranty Manager, this role is responsible for managing the supplier warranty process to maximize supplier reimbursement for Blue Bird incurred warranty expense due to supplier defects and part failures. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, maintaining and updating the warranty and systems software, processing warranty claims and other warranty related tasks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the supplier warranty recovery process Manage all supplier warranty claims Manage the warranty part return process Create and maintain supplier warranty KPI metrics Create ad-hoc warranty data analysis to communicate findings clearly and concisely Maintain and update tables within warranty software management system Develop basic coding to create warranty metric reporting within QlikSense application Administer the Blue Bird warranty policies and procedures fairly and consistently with the dealers, service centers, suppliers and customers Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with suppliers in a professional manner working through difficult and sensitive financial discussions Skilled in negotiation and collaboration Skilled in Microsoft Excel (creating complicated formulas, macros and data visualization) Basic knowledge of database management Previous experience using QlikSense or QlikView Excellent oral and written communication Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Aptitude to learn proprietary systems quickly BASIC EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED Two years previous automotive administrative work All candidates must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experience in development and coding highly desired Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of Blue Bird school/activity bus products, systems and components WE VALUE Ability to anticipate and understand customer needs and provide guidance Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills to handle difficult and sensitive matters. Strong project management skills. Exposure to difficult or complex projects a plus.
