Position Title: Project Management Office Lead Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL Relocation Assistance: None available at this time Remote/Telework: NO - Not available for this position Clearance Type: DoD Secret Shift: Day shift Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time Description of Duties: The Project Management Office Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will: Provide expertise, guidance and oversight for all project management activities on the contract. Establish standards and performance measures for key project management metrics. Deliver tools, standards, templates, processes, procedures and training material to enable successful project performance across the contract. Integrate across IRES TOs (Cross-TO coordination) to facilitate consistent PMO processes and reporting, obtain feedback, share insights, and continuous improvement opportunities. Enable delivery of enterprise project requirements IAW scope, cost, schedule and quality. Make recommendations on enterprise multidisciplinary resource sharing/allocation. Conduct new and recurring Project Manager and Integrated Project Lead training and certification as required. Lead, mentor, teach, and train Project Managers and Integrated Project Leads to communicate, engage, and coordinate activities across diverse stakeholders. Serve as an integrator across the contract, leveraging relationships and familiarity within the Missile Defense Agency. Perform supervisory activities to include performance evaluations, goal/priority setting, and performance actions as needed. Integrate Systems Engineering Principles and Requirements into Project Management and delivery processes across the enterprise. Perform Control Account (CA) activities as a CA Manager (CAM) to include authorizing charge codes, tracking labor use against CA, and contributing to CA forecasting with the Earned Value (EV) team. Provide status and briefings to leadership, to include senior government customers and stakeholders. Use interpersonal skills to solve both technical and organizational conflicts. The successful candidate will: Have exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Be self-motivated, resilient, resourceful and able to work proactively Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 18 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 16 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 14 years of general experience; Master's degree and 12 years of general experience. Must have 8 years of directly related experience in project management Must have 10 years of experience working in management or leadership roles Must have a certification in project management Must have strong knowledge of project management methodologies Must be familiar with systems engineering, change management, contracts, risk management and other processes that integrate with project management Must have prior experience leading teams to support Department of Defense National Security Programs Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance Desired Requirements: MDA experience, particularly on the IRES contract Well-developed ability to think strategically - able to turn strategies into plans with little supervision This position is expected to pay $165,000 - $195,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
