The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining all industrial equipment within the facility. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring that converting equipment and lines operate continuously. Participation in manufacturing process improvement initiatives is also required. The role involves performing repairs and implementing technical solutions using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. The types of equipment include conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, cappers, and other various industrial machinery. Responsibilities

Maintain all industrial equipment within the facility. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues. Ensure continuous operation of converting equipment and lines. Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. Perform repairs and implement technical solutions. Utilize precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and multimeters. Essential Skills

Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Knowledge of mechanical and conveyor maintenance. Ability to work with motors, including 3-phase motors. Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves. 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience. Troubleshooting, mechanical, and repair skills. Preventive maintenance and electrical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. 3+ years working in a GMP environment preferred. Computer proficiency in MS Office. Previous experience in GMP or food manufacturing is a plus. Experience in an FDA facility is advantageous. Why Work Here?

The facility operates nearly a million square feet of production and distribution centers, running around the clock five days a week. It is a liquid filling facility with strong odors, depending on the department. The environment is FDA regulated, making experience in the food and beverage industry a plus. Candidates should be prepared for strong smells such as mouthwash, lotion, or alcohol. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $29.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
