Inventory Clerk

Job Summary:

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy for lighting, irrigation and plumbing products, parts, and supplies, and ensuring the efficient flow of inventory within the warehouse and vehicles. This role plays a vital part in supporting project needs, maintaining optimal stock levels, and ensuring that materials are readily available for installation and maintenance teams. Schedule: 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. (Subject to Change) Monday to Friday Saturdays may be required due to weather Extended hours may be required to meet business needs Key Responsibilities: Inventory Management & Accuracy:

Track and manage incoming and outgoing inventory of lighting, irrigation and plumbing materials. Maintain accurate inventory records, recording all transactions, including product receipts, transfers issues, adjustments and disposals. Update inventory records and databases accurately, including receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items. Perform daily cycle counts and scheduled physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy. Investigate and report discrepancies in inventory counts and implement corrective actions to minimize future occurrences. Implement and maintain inventory control processes and procedures. Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchase orders for replenishment when needed with the procurement manager. Receiving and Shipping:

Receive and inspect incoming material shipments, verifying counts and quality against purchase orders. Store items in an organized and accessible manner within the warehouse or storage area. Prepare and process outgoing shipments of materials and equipment for installation teams or customers. Ensure proper labeling and handling of all inventory items.

Warehouse Operations:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment within the warehouse and storage areas. Operate warehouse equipment, potentially including forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner (if certified). Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support operations.

Communication & Collaboration:

Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and other teams to ensure timely delivery of products and minimize project delays. Provide regular inventory reports and updates to management and other relevant departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in inventory management or a related warehouse role preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to lift and move materials, potentially including heavier items (up to 50 lbs.). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
