About the Role: The Inventory Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management within the warehouse environment. This position is responsible for maintaining precise records of stock levels, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, and organizing inventory to optimize space and accessibility. The Inventory Clerk collaborates closely with warehouse staff and management to uphold safety standards and streamline material handling processes. By accurately interpreting documents and utilizing warehouse management systems, the clerk supports operational continuity and prevents stock discrepancies. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of supply chain operations by ensuring that inventory data is reliable and up to date. The Inventory Clerk will coordinate the material flow, distribution and storage of materials such as ingredients and identify resolutions for stock risks with an in-depth understanding of policy and procedures and occasional guidance and assisting others. In this role, you will work closely with other departments to ensure appropriate inventory levels of stock parts are addressed and maintained. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience working in inventory control or warehouse operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and barcode scanning technology. Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals and inventory-related documents. Basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts accurately. Preferred Qualifications: Experience operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments. Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center. Certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus. Responsibilities: Support the management of inventory in storerooms, finished goods or raw materials while providing recommendations for improvements in process and inventory management. Enter incoming material into systems, with no oversight. Play a lead role, in the cycle count and audit processes while delivering items to production or maintenance teams. Receive and inspect materials, monitors orders and delivery dates to meet the needs and safety stock for the facility while making suggestions to minimize stock risk. Regularly use mobile equipment and data systems while record keeping and may provide guidance or support to other team members. Understand and adhere to all safety policies and procedures, maintains a safe and clean work environment. Skills: The Inventory Clerk utilizes procedure manuals daily to ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards. Proficiency with barcode technology and warehouse management systems enables efficient tracking and updating of inventory records. The ability to read and interpret documents such as shipping manifests and invoices is essential for verifying stock accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Operating material handling equipment like pallet jacks requires both skill and adherence to safety rules to prevent accidents and damage. Additionally, strong numerical skills are applied regularly to calculate quantities, manage stock levels, and support inventory audits, ensuring the integrity of warehouse operations.
