Area Manager

to oversee upholstery floor operations, driving productivity, quality, and safety. You’ll lead and develop a skilled team, ensuring every piece meets our high standards of excellence. What You Do Works with Upholsters and Trimmers on product construction to ensure production of high-quality products with minimum rework. Ensures daily production schedules are either met or exceeded. Communicates frequently with team members to address issues that might impede work quality or efficiency. Ensures everyone is following the construction guidelines on each SKU. Ensures all team members are participating in Level 10 department meetings. Recommends and implements process improvements as needed to improve production rates. Supervises workflow to ensure customer deadlines are being met. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Lead, Manage and Hold Accountable for the Upholstery Floor Upholstery and Trim accuracy Production efficiency Capacity Utilization Housekeeping for Upholstery Floor What You Bring Ten years of furniture upholstery manufacturing experience Three years of team lead or supervisory experience Work well as part of a team to meet or exceed production goals Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Ability to prioritize workload tasks Ability to teach others as well as being able to take instruction and constructive criticism objectively Strong understanding of man-hour allocation and management Must be detail-oriented and quality-minded, ensuring quality standards are consistently met in a timely manner Good time management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision
