Bartolino’s is a proud, family-owned staple in St. Louis, known for combining authentic Italian flavors with warm Midwestern hospitality. For over 50 years, we’ve served guests with fresh ingredients, authentic recipes, and genuine care. We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to help set the kitchen up for success by ensuring all ingredients and stations are ready for service.
What You’ll Do: Wash, chop, slice, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications
Measure and portion ingredients for menu items
Prepare sauces, dressings, and other components ahead of service
Properly store food items and label them with dates to ensure freshness and food safety
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked prep area
Assist line cooks and chefs during service when needed
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues
What We’re Looking For: Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred, but not required – we’ll train the right person
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
Team player with a positive attitude
