Inventory Specialist The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the inventory process from receiving parts from our suppliers and working with our customer to align part(s) delivery to the assembly line. This person will champion the new model and new model year process to ensure successful implementation of new parts in the build schedule and ensure they align with customer expectations. Responsibilities for an Inventory Specialist: Oversee new parts inventory (Pilot Parts), managing inventory levels and specific usage of pilot parts as required. Pilot Parts refer to new models and/or model year change over parts. Assist in overseeing the inventory department in all activities focused on driving 100% inventory accuracy. Support development and management of the inventory system, processes, and inventory team members, ensuring policies and procedures are carried out to achieve established business company goals and objectives. Conduct deep dive analysis of inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with leadership teams to drive the development and implementation of preventative action plans. Act as the main channel of communication between Hyundai Glovis and Hyundai Production Control regarding pilot part introduction into assembly. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for an Inventory Specialist: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field is preferred At least 3 years of experience managing high volume inventory is required Experience operating warehouse equipment such as a forklift, tugger, stock chaser, reach truck, etc. is strongly desired Strong understanding of SAP or other similar WMS is required Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications with a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel is required Experience in the automotive logistics, distribution, or part management field is strongly desired Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills Strong internal and external customer service, driving positive internal customer experience Effective written and verbal communication skills Project management experience is a plus Lean, Continuous Improvement knowledge is a plus

Physical Demands for an Inventory Specialist: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to bend, turn, and use peripherals as required to operate equipment safely within company standard operator procedures. Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish product, from various heights weighing up to 50 lbs., depending on the location, throughout shift. Ability to work at heights with the use of ladders, elevated platforms, and equipment Able to work in a warehouse environment for up to 8-hour shifts, and any overtime hours if applicable.

The estimated base salary range for the Inventory Specialist is $55,700-$58,700.

The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
