Job Description POSITION – BEACH POOL ATTENDANT RATE OF PAY - $13.00 - $15.00 EMPLOYEE CATEGORY - SEASONAL
ABOUT OUR ROLE The Beach Pool Attendant is responsible for the daily set-up and take down of pool and beach amenities, while maintaining overall cleanliness and appearance of recreation facilities, assisting guests with activity rentals and seeing that guests’ needs are met while utilizing resort amenities. ABOUT OUR VALUES We believe in GETMY Best – Guide, Excellence, Together, Magic, and Yes ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Constantly monitor and maintain cleanliness of recreation areas throughout entire resort
Daily setup and breakdown of all beach equipment
Follow leadership guidance for daily set ups and programming that may be scheduled.
Instruct guests on safe use of rental equipment and suggest safe routes on the water
Develop a technical skill set to efficiently clean and maintain the pool, hot tub, sauna & fitness center
Creating and maintaining relationships with guests
Awareness and promotion of all hotel facilities, activities and rentals
Thorough knowledge of the surrounding area to helpfully answer guest questions
Provide clean towels for guests while collecting dirty towels for laundry services.
Monitor activity trash and recycle bins
Properly store and care for all activity equipment
All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Qualifications: Professional verbal communication skills.
Detail focus for documenting and billing guests accordingly.
Basic Competencies: High level of professionalism, able to follow instructions with follow-up, respect, and integrity.
Understand oral and written communications, follow detailed directions, and provide clear
instructions/directions.
Basic skills such as: attention to detail skills, reasoning skills and multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work mornings and evenings, weekdays and weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day outdoors and work in all weather conditions.
Strong swimmer; ability to exercise for a period of 30 minutes at one time.
