Seeking a skilled Utilities Process Technician to monitor and maintain boiler and chiller systems critical to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with utility systems and an understanding of cGMP environments.
Job Duties:
Monitor, repair, and calibrate high-pressure steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and associated utility equipment to ensure uninterrupted support to manufacturing and facility operations. Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, compressors, and heat exchangers. Monitor system performance through BMS/SCADA systems, logging data and escalating abnormal conditions. Respond to utility alarms and emergencies promptly to minimize downtime and support production schedules. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with GMP, FDA, OSHA, and environmental regulations. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily operations, maintenance performed, and system anomalies. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in facility utilities systems preferred. 3+ years of experience operating and/or maintaining boilers, chillers, or related utility systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Knowledge of GMP standards and experience in a regulated industry (pharma, biotech, or food manufacturing) is preferred. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and standard operating procedures. Familiarity with boilers, chillers, pumps, valves, compressors, and heat exchangers.
