Founded in 1959, Manor Tool & Manufacturing has grown from a small tool & die shop into a premier metal stamping company, specializing in deep drawn, progressive and custom stamping. We take pride in delivering high-quality American Made parts across a wide range of industries.
We are seeking a 2nd Shift Production Machine Operator to join our production team in Schiller Park, IL. The Production Machine Operator is responsible for operating stamping presses and other equipment to produce quality parts according to specifications and production goals.
Key Responsibilities: Operate stamping presses and secondary machinery. Load material and monitor the production process to ensure parts meet quality standards. Use work instruction to ensure the quality of Manor Tool production including safety rules. Safely run production as instructed on a variety of machinery and equipment; follow safety procedures, ensure guards are in place and all PPE is worn properly. Preform Visually inspect production against approved sample for burrs, missing holes, surface defects and other generic problems. Keep rejected production parts separate from good production parts. Return all hand tools, gages and measuring devices etc. to proper storage areas. Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and documentation associated with the process at hand including move tickets and SPC Support safety and lean initiatives including LEAN and SHARP by working within established OSHA guidelines and continuously looking for improved efficiency. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes, and product quality. Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with supervisor. Comply with all company policies and procedures including mission, safety, and attendance requirements.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and follow Work instructions. Exhibit the skillful use of a variety of machinery and equipment. We will train motivated candidates. Basic math and mechanical skills. Ability to use and understand all measuring devices and gages including the calibration process. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment. Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for extended periods.
