General Job Function: To run and produce production parts on various production type stamping pressesJob Duties: Operates industrial equipment and machinery such as deep draw presses, blank lines, wax & wash lines per established operator instructions and be designated for the type of machinery being operated. The operator will place production part into machine, cycle the equipment, and retrieve the part for placement to the conveyor line, trough, basket, or box. Employees may cycle the equipment manually by the two-hand trip, continuous pressure palm buttons, foot pedal, or cycle switch. Equipment may be set in continuous or automatic modes. Employee is responsible for visually inspecting parts per specific operator instructions. Other duties assigned by supervisorWorking Conditions: Manufacturing environment with seasonal changes in temperature and humidityPhysical Component(s): Standing and walking up to 100% of work time; pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and some stooping and lifting or carrying up to 25-70+ lbs. Lifting, bending and repetitive motion may be required.Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or GED. Previous stamping press experience helpful but not mandatoryOther Requirements: Ability to understand or comprehend written and oral instructions. Ability to grasps, hold, place, and safely retrieve stock/part while working at a productive pace. Knowledge and proper use of any necessary safety equipment, work aids, tools or personal protection equipment. Capable of operating various manufacturing equipment such as lathes (Omeras, Acme, Beatty), presses, and gages (Plug Gages, Ring Gages, Go/No Go Gages, Thread Gages) Regular attendance is required and must be able to work any shift. Overtime is mandatory when business conditions require additional hours.
