Overview Tradesmen International
is immediately hiring experienced
Marine Joiners
for projects located in and around
Savannah, GA . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of
up to $30/hour
based on experience and skill level. If you are a Marine Joiner and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!
Job Scope: Transfer dimensions using tape measures, squares, and layout tools
Cut, form, and finish wood and other materials using stationary and hand power tools
Perform high-quality cuts using table saws, chop saws, and related tools
Construct various woodworking joints used in marine carpentry (scarf, sill, splice, lap, finger, dovetail, etc.)
Layout, cut, and assemble cabinetry, furniture, trim, doors, handrails, cap rails, decking, and other marine components
Apply epoxies, adhesives, varnishes, and polyurethanes to bond and finish wood components
Identify and repair squeaks, warps, leaks, and other structural issues
Apply caulking compounds, cements, screws, fasteners, and plugs using correct techniques and materials
Requirements: Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and conceptual sketches Able to understand and use yachting and marine construction terminology (e.g., port/starboard, bow/stern, trim, bung, etc.)
Ability to meet project schedules and budgets, including working overtime when necessary
