Job Description Description: This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination, including leading and directing maintenance technicians, ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all shipping-related maintenance activities, equipment, and personnel. Foster a well-trained and motivated staff. Assisting the Facilities Manager in directing and coordinating maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Manage and oversee the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment. Quickly assess problems to minimize the downtime of production. Must possess knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures and GMP practices to ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow the company policies and procedures. Requirements: The ideal candidate should have the ability and experience to:

- Lead, direct, evaluate, and train a team of 10 or more maintenance technicians. - Measure, monitor, and reduce machine downtime. - Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) issues, and provide guidance or assistance with repairs. - Promote a "Safety First" culture among staff. - Develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for both equipment and the facility. - Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. - Identify and resolve maintenance-related problems to ensure minimal disruption to shipping operations. - Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and associated equipment, such as conveyors, palletizers, and pallet wrapping equipment, ensuring all equipment operates properly. - Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on dock equipment, including dock locks, doors, and dock levelers, ensuring all equipment operates properly. - Ensure that all preventive and predictive maintenance is completed on all forklifts and walkie lifts, ensuring all equipment operates properly. - Ensure that all refrigeration equipment in the dock area and freezer is operating correctly.

Education: - An associate's degree or a college program certificate; alternatively, 5 or more years of related experience and training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Experience: - A minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in directing, evaluating, and training maintenance technicians.

Communication Skills: - The candidate must be able to clearly articulate ideas, listen to, and comprehend spoken information. Additionally, the ability to express thoughts and concepts clearly in writing and to understand written material is essential.
