Supportive, collaborative, and purpose-driven culture What You'll Be Doing: Monitor, work and maintain the Credit Union's delinquent loan accounts. Perform problem solving activities with relation to these accounts including the investigation of missing loan payments. The Credit Union philosophy of "people helping people" should be considered when the causes of delinquency are being determined and next steps considered. Communicate with members via phone and written correspondence to arrange fair and equitable payment plans. Look for innovative and creative ways to not only reach members with delinquent accounts, but also to encourage timely payment through direct deposit, payroll deduction and auto pay etc. Monitor established payment plans to ensure member follow through. Maintain accurate collection records and tickler follow ups for future follow up. Handle outbound collection calls and any incoming calls Process credit life and disability claim payments and claim entry Monitor and resolve consumer credit disputes through EOscar and any other channel that may be presented. Recommend, coordinate and follow through on repossessions from assignment through sale completion, serving as a liaison with outside agencies to recover our assets and minimize loss to the credit union. What You'll Bring to the Table: Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for assessing delinquent accounts. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation abilities. Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive member interactions professionally and confidentially even under pressure. Strong commitment to member service. Proficiency in documenting and tracking collection efforts accurately utilizing collections computer applications. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: High School diploma required; some college preferred Experience in consumer credit/lending department preferred.
