A Credit Manager oversees a company's credit-granting process, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debts by assessing creditworthiness, setting credit limits, and managing loan terms and policies.
Credit Assessment: Evaluate potential customers' creditworthiness, using credit scores, risk projections, and other factors to determine loan eligibility. Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, review, and update the company's credit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations. Risk Management: Monitor loan payments, identify potential risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate bad debts. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of loan applications, transactions, and customer credit information. Customer Relations: Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and team members. Collections: Follow up on delinquent accounts and manage debt settlements and loan renewals. Data Analysis: Analyze credit data and financial statements to identify trends and potential risks. Skills and Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field. Experience:
Proven work experience as a credit manager or in a related field. Skills:
