About Us: God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and wellness, stress management, and community outreach.

Position Summary: The CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Facilitator is responsible for supporting formerly incarcerated men by helping with emotional regulation and problem solving through social skill practices. The facilitator will be responsible for identifying their traumas and areas of needed support. They will address the participant’s skills and identify resolutions that can be transferred into their everyday lives both socially and professionally. The CBT facilitator helps identify risky behaviors, thinking, and situations by being a line of support to assist participants back into their everyday lives.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitation Facilitate structured Cognitive Behavior Intervention groups to formerly incarcerated men using approved curriculum Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive group environment Encourage participation and engagement from all group participants Maintain a judgement free attitude and culturally responsive service delivery Help participants learn and practice skills such as conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and positive coping skills Lead case reviews in collaboration with program staff, providing referrals if more support is needed Ensure appropriate materials are readily available before session, including worksheets, poster boards, and/or activities Uphold group expectations, manage conflict, and model prosocial communication Address barriers such as trauma history, substance use, and antisocial thinking using CBT principles Individual Engagement Conduct clinical pre/mid/post assessments with individuals to track progress of participants’ risk levels Provide one-on-one coaching and support as needed Assess participant’s needs and progress through observations, check-in’s, and documentation Admin and Supportive Services Maintain accurate, timely documentation monitoring participant’s attendance and behavior Collaborate with case managers, clinicians, and program staff to support coordinated service planning Participate in training, clinician supervision, and ongoing professional development Submit accurate earnings to the supervisor to compensate participants for work completed Competencies: Group facilitation experience Basic computer competency Knowledge of justice-impacted population and challenges Active listening Strong communication Time Management Work Setting: Onsite/Hybrid with option to work remote on Fridays if available Must have access to reliable transportation to GRO Community and community sites to engage employers Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Psychology preferred Minimum of 3 years Group facilitation experience Experience working with therapeutic services and reentry services is highly preferred Social services work experience required What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package A supportive and dynamic work environment committed to social impact Opportunities for professional development and growth How to Apply: At GRO Community, we believe in healing through empowerment and innovation.
