Finance - Director of Accounting & Finance What We're Looking For: We are seeking a Director of Accounting and Finance responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, developing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements for funders and nonprofit organizations. The Director will oversee general ledger management, monthly and year-end closings, grant closings, accounts payable, funder reports, and audit preparation. This role supervises fiscal management staff to ensure work is properly allocated and completed timely and accurately. The position requires strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, as it involves contact with senior managers, the C-Suite, and funders. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the corporate budget, the agency's audit process, financial statement preparations, and maintain strong relationships with funders. Qualifications and experience include: Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or Master's Degree preferred. At least five years of accounting experience, including three years of management or supervisory experience, and a minimum of two years in a nonprofit agency, preferably as a Controller or similar role. Thorough knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, nonprofit government-funded accounting, and federal audit requirements. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with fund accounting systems and relational databases is a plus. Excellent analytical, process development, organizational, and multi-tasking skills. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all management levels and technical professionals.
