Manufacturer of metal stampings, wire forms, and welded assemblies is looking for an experienced
Tool & Die Maker
to join their team.
Location:
St. Louis, MO
Shift/Schedule:
1st, 7 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate:
$28.25 - $33.50 (depending on experience)
Summary:
Repair existing, and build new fixtures, jigs, dies or gages. Must be able to troubleshoot tooling while working in conjunction in a team environment Position includes but not limited to:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of finished products Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders Build, repair, and maintain tooling and dies for production processes Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tooling Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and designs
Required Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent required Technical degree or certification preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 3+ years of experience working in a tool fabrication environment Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings Able to work independently and with other machinists and engineer Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
