Job Title: 3rd Shift Sanitation Manager
Location: South Holland, IL
Pay: $90K - $1100K

We are seeking an experienced and driven Third Shift Operations Manager to lead all third shift activities at our South Holland facility. This role will oversee sanitation operations for cooked meat and oil recovery processes and ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment that meets all production, quality, and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all sanitation and third-shift operations within the facility Coordinate and facilitate training sessions on safety, chemical usage, and sanitation procedures Ensure compliance with pre-op, post-op, and
microbial/bioluminescence
swabbing standards Oversee the Master Sanitation Schedule and ensure strict adherence Participate in food safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed Control sanitation-related costs (chemicals, labor, equipment, supplies) Serve as the main contact for on-site government officials Lead listeria prevention/control programs and sanitary design reviews Partner with operations and sanitation teams to enhance food safety programs Act as a member of the HACCP core team and evaluate in-process and customer specifications Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs); develop continuous improvement initiatives Ensure all preventive maintenance (PMs) are completed timely in coordination with maintenance leadership Manage Cook & Chill and Trim Operations to maximize efficiency and product yield Oversee sanitation team in disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling equipment Ensure production floor is cleaned, inspected, and ready for startup on time Supervisory Responsibilities
Lead and manage all third-shift personnel Assign, monitor, and evaluate daily tasks and performance Train, motivate, and discipline team members as needed Oversee onboarding and orientation of new employees Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree required Minimum 5 years’ experience in food safety and sanitation within a food processing environment 3–5 years of management experience Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of food processing equipment Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, HACCP, SSOP, and SOP requirements Experience with microbial sampling, analysis, and corrective actions Proficient in Microsoft Office and other operational software Key Competencies
