Job Summary: DUGGAN BERTSCH is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support our real estate law practice. The successful candidate will assist attorneys with a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development. This role requires strong document management skills, familiarity with real estate closing processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. It’s an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work closely with experienced attorneys in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with commercial and residential real estate transactions from inception to closing,

Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, title affidavits, and settlement statements

Coordinate due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning reports, and environmental assessments

Manage closing checklists and timelines

Communicate with clients, title companies, lenders, and opposing counsel

Organize and maintain electronic and physical real estate files

Conduct legal research related to real estate law and regulations

Order title commitments, order transfer stamp and prepare MyDec filing

Perform other paralegal and administrative duties as needed to support the real estate practice

Assist with recording of deeds, preparing and processing transfer tax declarations

Qualifications: Associate or bachelor's degree

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program helpful but not required

Experience as a real estate paralegal in a law firm or title company required

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Familiarity with document management systems and real estate closing software
