Position Summary: The Stationary Engineer 1st Class will perform all necessary functions in the operation and preventative maintenance of all heating boilers, cooling chillers, cooling tower, ventilation, and all related equipment, to include chemical testing and treatment of chilled water systems and boiler feedwater and steam systems. Shift: PRN- Casual/On-Call (Based on the need of the dept) Rotating Shift Weekend Work Required Location: Sibley Memorial Hospital, 5255 Loughboro Rd, NW Washington, DC 20016 Education/ Experience High School graduate or G.E.D. Certificate preferred or with equivalent combination of training and experience is necessary. Minimum of four (4) years of training experience in the field operating a high level pressure steam plant. - Prefer high-pressure experience in a hospital situation Licensure: must be licensed in the District of Columbia as a First Class Engineer. Salary Range: Minimum 43.50/hour - Maximum 43.50/hour.Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
