Job Description Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As a Senior Trial Attorney, you'll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with engaging trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Stay ahead of new laws and regulations to ensure our strategies remain effective. Key Responsibilities
Represent insured individuals and the Company in defending bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, subrogation, and Allstate Financial cases.
Prepare for and conduct hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
Prepare and present pre- and post-trial motions effectively.
Assist colleagues in resolving calendar conflicts collaboratively.
Offer counsel to business clients on legal matters.
Manage projects efficiently, fostering coordination among legal teams.
Stay updated on laws, regulations, and case law; identify and summarize relevant issues; collaborate with the Law and Regulation department; advise business units on legal impacts; monitor legal representation.
Education
Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years of proven litigation experience or strong litigation skills, including case strategy, legal research, and advocacy, capable of managing complex disputes under pressure.
First or second chair jury trial experience preferred.
Experience with insurance defense preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LexisNexis (preferred), and internet research.
Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff under Lead Counsel’s guidance.
Capacity to handle a substantial case load.
Comfortable working remotely and willing to travel throughout the greater Tallahassee, Florida area.
