$58-90k DOE Position Summary The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in telling WPPCs story, promoting its mission, and increasing community awareness through effective internal and external communications. This position supports the development and execution of marketing, brand awareness, and outreach strategies to elevate visibility, both digitally and in-person within regional markets. Additionally, this role supports internal recruitment, promote services, and engage donors, community partners, and the public. The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented communicator who can manage multiple projects, create compelling content, and support organizational goals through verbal, digital, print, and community-based marketing efforts. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for programs, services, events, and initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across all channels. Create content for digital platforms, including social media, email newsletters, blog posts, and website updates. Design and distribute engaging marketing materials (flyers, brochures, annual reports, presentation templates, signage, digital ads). Maintain the organization's branding standards across all materials and communications. Draft press releases, announcements, and promotional copy as needed, ensuring consistent and accurate information dissemination to community partners, public, and media. Social Media Management Manage the organizations social media accounts (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X). Develop and implement strategies to grow social media presences and following. Develop and maintain a content calendar with regular and targeted posts, updates, and campaign timelines. Monitor audience engagement, respond to comments / messages, and use analytics to report and inform future strategies and target markets. Event & Outreach Support Ensure branded equipment (tents, tablecloths, banners, etc.) are purchased, maintained, and presentable for marketing and community outreach events. Support planning and promotion of community events, health fairs, facility grand openings, job fairs, fundraisers, and other events, as needed. Coordinate marketing materials, signage, and promotional items for outreach staff and tabling events. Attend community and outreach events, as requested, to promote and engage with community partners, potential donors, and other stakeholders. Assist with photography, video content, and capturing client / staff testimonials (with consent). Internal Communications Collaborate with staff to highlight stories and successes from programs and clients. Create internal newsletters or bulletins to promote engagement and information sharing among teams. Help promote staff recruitment campaigns and job openings. Administrative & Reporting Develop and track marketing metrics; prepare reports on campaign performance, social engagement, web traffic, event attendance and distribution of printed materials. Maintain media contact lists, photo release forms, and content libraries. Manage and foster relationships with printing and other marketing vendors to ensure marketing materials are prepared, delivered, and / or distributed appropriately. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role (nonprofit or healthcare preferred). Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and website CMS (e.g., WordPress). Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. Basic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. Photography and video-editing experience a plus. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills & Characteristics Passion for mission-driven work and a heart for serving vulnerable communities. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Spanish fluency preferred but not required. Flexibility to attend occasional events during evenings or weekends. Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO, and digital ad management is a plus.
