Good360 seeks an experienced, driven, and adaptable Director of Disaster Response & Recovery (DRR) to lead and expand our DRR programs. This individual will spearhead immediate disaster response efforts, strengthen long-term recovery initiatives, and ensure rapid mobilization of resources and partnerships to support impacted communities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in disaster management, nonprofit coordination, logistics, and strategic planning, and will serve as a senior leader within Good360’s DRR team.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
Disaster Response & Operational Leadership
Lead Good360’s rapid response strategy during active disasters, ensuring timely mobilization of personnel, products, and logistics. Serve as the primary incident commander for active disasters—coordinating on-the-ground response, identifying urgent community needs, and guiding immediate deployment of goods. Maintain up-to-date readiness protocols, including resource pre-positioning, partner activation, and internal response workflows. As needed, conduct in-person damage assessments, partner site inspections, and impact documentation during active response phases.
Program & Strategy Development
Develop and implement scalable and sustainable disaster response and recovery strategies that align with Good360’s mission and values. Expand and manage a national portfolio of nonprofit, government, and corporate partners to accelerate response and recovery operations in collaboration with Corporate Development and Impact Giving Teams. Guide the development of new program models, playbooks, and standard operating procedures for both immediate and long-term recovery.
Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work cross-functionally with internal teams to streamline internal processes, data systems, and logistics operations. Ensure timely and clear communication across departments, especially during high-pressure disaster events.
Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
Cultivate high-level partnerships with national and regional disaster agencies, VOADs, nonprofits, foundations, and donors. Represent Good360 at key emergency management and disaster relief conferences, summits, and coalitions. Work with the Corporate Development and Impact Giving teams to align in-kind and cash support with evolving community needs before, during, and after disaster events.
Technology & Data
Oversee the use and development of tools such as Salesforce, Asana, and mapping platforms to track disaster activities and partner engagement. Monitor data trends and performance metrics to guide program decisions and report impact to stakeholders.
Other Duties
Ensure disaster recovery team readiness through training, scenario planning, and after-action reviews. Manage DRR staff and consultants, as needed. Travel up to 30% annually for disaster response activities and to partner locations. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President or senior leadership. 7+ years of experience in disaster response, humanitarian logistics, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or equivalent experience in emergency management, nonprofit leadership, or logistics preferred. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and high-pressure response operations. At least 5 years of experience fundraising in the non profit sector specifically in the DRR space. Direct experience managing grant activities with skills in budget management/tracking, reporting and client engagement. Prior supervisory experience including management of staff and consultants. Strong knowledge of and contacts in FEMA, National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster V(VOAD), and emergency coordination systems. Skilled in managing multiple priorities, partnerships, and data reporting tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proven experience representing an organization at events or roundtables with strong public speaking skills Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational acumen. Ability to lift 40 lbs and work flexible hours during active disasters.
