COORDINATOR - EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM
MALCOLM X COLLEGE
Malcolm X College is currently seeking a Coordinator for our Early College Program. This position will support college-level efforts to increase high school students’ participation and success in Dual Credit and Dual Enrollment programs. Responsibilities include coordinating class and student assignments and working with high schools to ensure students are accurately informed and placed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Coordinate college readiness testing procedures with participating secondary schools, including establishing testing locations and procedures for placement exams and accessing testing information for enrollment.
Collaborate with the Office of Instruction and Student Services to enroll interested students in early college programs, aiming to meet enrollment goals.
Convert dual enrollment and dual credit students into full and part-time students through enrollment events, including community outreach and FAFSA completion assistance.
Prepare reports to ensure compliance with Illinois Community College Board guidelines and maintain fidelity to college standards for all dual credit, dual enrollment, and articulation initiatives.
Serve as a liaison to College Advisors and secondary school counselors to ensure clear pathways to early college credit.
Participate in planning professional development and mentoring activities between college faculty and secondary school instructors, ensuring standards are met for off-site dual credit courses and articulation.
Adhere to Customer Service Excellence standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Services, Public Policy, or related field; Master’s degree preferred, with at least three years of administrative experience or equivalent training and experience.
Proven organizational and supervisory skills.
Proficiency with various software programs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels, students, and customers, within a team environment.
Diplomatic and tactful handling of all situations.
Self-directed, innovative, with the ability to assess and improve current operations, and meet deadlines.
Salary Range: $61,006 - $67,106.60
Salary will be determined based on the collective bargaining agreement, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
