The Workday HCM Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This role works directly with clients to understand their HR needs and deliver effective Workday solutions that improve HR operations and maximize the value of the Workday platform.
Key Responsibilities
Lead or support the implementation of Workday HCM modules, such as Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Recruiting, Time Tracking, and Absence.
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from client stakeholders and translate them into system configurations.
Configure and customize Workday HCM modules to fit client-specific HR processes and compliance requirements.
Conduct design workshops, working sessions, and user training to ensure successful system adoption.
Develop, test, and deploy business processes, security roles, reports, dashboards, and integrations within Workday HCM.
Advise clients on best practices and process improvements to drive efficiency and compliance.
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and system updates after implementation, including managing new Workday releases and features.
Prepare and deliver documentation, presentations, and status reports to project managers and client teams.
Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including configuration and implementation of multiple modules.
Workday Certified Professional credential is required.
Workday HCM functional certification is required.
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices.
Experience with Workday reporting, analytics, and business process design.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Workday integrations and data migration.
Prior consulting experience in a client-facing role.
Advanced skills in HR analytics and dashboard creation.
Experience with global HR operations and regulatory compliance.
