The Director, Senior Corporate Counsel will work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and collegial environment with business partners across CAVA, with ambitions to share its unique offering throughout the U.S. Reporting to the VP & Senior Associate Chief Legal Officer, you will serve as a strategic real estate legal partner, working closely with the Real Estate, Construction, and Development departments to support CAVA’s mission of bringing heart, health, and humanity to food, aiding rapid growth across the country. You will also lead the implementation of technological solutions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed to market. This description is not comprehensive; duties and responsibilities may change without notice. What You’ll Do : Strategize and collaborate on projects to expand CAVA’s restaurant footprint. Draft, negotiate, and finalize leases, construction agreements, architectural services agreements, estoppels, SNDAs, and other real estate agreements, focusing on risk mitigation, reducing time to market, and maintaining flexibility for future development. Develop standardized processes, templates, and playbooks to drive efficiency. Advise on potential market entries and manage property management issues. Build partnerships with landlords and participate in acquisition or disposition activities. Educate business partners on real estate considerations. Research legal requirements related to real estate, zoning, and construction. Incorporate AI and other tools to enhance process efficiency. Qualifications : J.D. and active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction. 5+ years of law firm and/or corporate legal experience; law firm experience preferred. Experience in real estate negotiations, drafting, and a variety of venue types. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be proactive, and manage projects independently. Willingness to work flexibly, including nights and weekends, and travel minimally. Physical Requirements : Ability to operate office equipment and maintain alertness. Ability to occasionally move items up to 50 pounds. Effective communication skills.
