Job Title: Corporate Partnerships Manager
Pay Details: The annual base salary range for this position in California is $69,000 to $73,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations. The Corporate Partnerships Manager plays a pivotal role on the Corporate Partnerships team and serves as a leader on the revenue-generating side of the organization. This position is charged with securing high-impact, multi-year partnerships across Katella Avenue Partners’ portfolio of assets. With a strong emphasis on regional and national brands, the Corporate Partnerships Manager drives growth through strategic prospecting, relationship-building with key decision-makers (including C-suite executives), and skillful contract negotiations. Success in this role requires not only a passion for sales but also the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and maintain momentum through every stage of the partnership pipeline. As a key member of the Corporate Partnerships department, this individual helps shape strategy and contributes to a high-performance culture focused on long-term value and innovation. Responsibilities Drive Revenue Growth: Lead new business efforts across the Katella Avenue Partners (KAP) portfolio, including the Anaheim Ducks, Honda Center, The Rinks & Great Park Ice, Anaheim Ducks Foundation, and ARTIC
Build & Manage Pipeline: Proactively develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified partnership opportunities
Expand Market Reach: Cultivate a wide network of regional and national brand contacts, positioning KAP as a premier partner within key industries
Negotiate High-Impact Deals: Serve as a subject-matter expert in structuring and negotiating complex, multi-year partnership agreements that deliver value for both the partner and the organization
Target Key Categories: Secure marquee partnerships in high-value categories and emerging sectors
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the VP and Directors of Corporate Partnerships to onboard new partners and support long-term revenue strategy
Navigate Legal Needs: Collaborate with legal counsel to negotiate partnership terms and finalize contractual agreements
Create Monetizable Assets: Partner with internal and external teams to develop innovative marketing platforms and brand assets that align with both partner objectives and fan engagement
Ensure Seamless Activation: Coordinate with the Partnership Activation team to deliver top-tier service, fulfillment of all contractual elements, and integration of future strategic initiatives
Stay Ahead of the Curve: Maintain a strong understanding of evolving business landscapes—including crypto, fintech, and sports betting—to identify emerging partnership opportunities
Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed on sponsorship industry developments, category innovation, and evolving best practices
Represent KAP: Participate in key industry events and associations to strengthen KAP’s market presence and uncover new business leads
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3+ years in corporate partnerships, preferably in sports or entertainment
Proven success securing multi-year, high-value partnerships
Experience working with Fortune 500 brands and agencies
Strong understanding of media platforms (social, digital, TV, radio) and asset valuation
Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
Skilled in creating compelling partnership proposals
Excellent written and verbal communication, including data storytelling
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly
Comfortable hosting partners at events and games
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Collaborative team player with strong multitasking and organizational skills
Able to manage timelines and communicate partnership deliverables internally
