Job Description: This job is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic initiatives and/or processes aligned to the bank's priorities within a functional area and/or business. Key responsibilities include defining, developing, executing, monitoring, and/or refining strategic initiatives and/or processes including management of strategic reviews by senior leadership in close collaboration with key stakeholders and internal partners. About Enterprise Marketing The Enterprise Marketing team is responsible for building the Bank of America brand and driving growth across our 8 LOBs by connecting our clients to relevant financial services solutions to drive acquisition, deepening and retention. Enterprise Marketing partners across the organization to develop an end-to-end marketing plan that spans the Enterprise and all lines of business from strategy through execution. We are seeking a dynamic, business-minded Strategic Marketing and Planning Executive to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of a comprehensive, fully integrated global marketing strategy. This role is responsible for aligning marketing initiatives with enterprise-wide business goals, managing marketing financials, and driving performance through data-informed decision-making. This executive will report to the Head of Enterprise Marketing and will collaborate cross-functionally with line of business leaders, finance, and other key stakeholders to ensure marketing investments deliver measurable value. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a hands-on executor, and a proven collaborator with deep expertise in enterprise-level marketing planning and financial stewardship. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of an integrated, enterprise-wide annual marketing plan aligned with corporate and line-of-business objectives. Build and maintain a multi-year strategic marketing roadmap that prioritizes products, programs, and partnerships. Establish and manage a strategic marketing planning framework that aligns cross-functional teams and lines of business under a common set of goals. Translate business goals into actionable, measurable marketing strategies across channels, customer segments, and geographies. Financial & Performance Management: Own financial planning for marketing, including scenario modeling, budget development, allocation, tracking, and optimization. Partner with Finance and Analytics, Modeling and & Insights to monitor marketing spend, optimize ROI, and ensure resource alignment to strategic priorities. Use performance data and insights to continually optimize the marketing plan in response to shifting business needs and market dynamics. Lead the annual marketing budgeting process, including allocation of funds across priorities, campaigns and channels Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic partner to line-of-business and product leaders, ensuring marketing efforts are aligned with their priorities and roadmaps. Facilitate regular planning and alignment sessions with senior leadership to drive integration and prioritization across business units. Leadership & Enablement: Champion marketing as a strategic growth lever across the enterprise. Present financial analysis and strategic recommendations for marketing investments to executive leadership Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and collaboration within the marketing planning function. Lead the investment management team and provide coaching to cross functional partners on best practices in strategic marketing planning and budget management. Responsibilities: Oversees the process for building and/or executing business initiatives and/or processes, while partnering with stakeholders and partners Solves complex problems and delivers on business initiatives and processes by applying subject matter expertise and technical knowledge of the business Engages with key stakeholders, partners, and business leadership to deliver on business objectives, while providing updates on strategic business initiatives Approves and oversees the development of strategic and tactical plans to drive progress towards business goals and objectives Required Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic marketing planning including financial modeling, and business/investment planning within large, matrixed, global organizations 10+ years of people management experience Proven track record of developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable business growth. Strong financial acumen; demonstrated experience managing large-scale marketing budgets and optimizing spend based on performance insights. Deep understanding of marketing disciplines (brand, digital, performance marketing, analytics) and how they integrate to achieve business outcomes. Exceptional collaboration, communication, and influence skills—able to work effectively across levels and functions. Experience leading enterprise-level planning and prioritization initiatives across business units. Highly analytical, data-driven decision-maker with a focus on outcomes and continuous improvement.
