Temporary Occasional We are seeking an
Executive Director Mentor
to join our Northside Program. As an
Executive Director Mentor , you will help foster hope and impact the lives of children and families through mentoring the Houston Executive Director. Your focus will include internal leadership, local networking/engagement, and facilities management aligned with Buckner’s Standards of Integrity. The ED Mentor will provide strategic insights on leadership, managing under pressure, community development, safety, and emergency response. Mentoring sessions will be conducted in a hybrid mode, combining in-person and internet-based meetings. What you'll do: Guide effective communication across programs and teams to foster collaboration. Assist in leading the execution of high business standards to enhance client and employee experiences, including customer service excellence. Help develop leadership skills to inspire teams and achieve growth and business objectives. Provide insights on community and client expectations, shaping initiatives to improve relationships and experiences. Support building and maintaining strong community relationships. Guide financial resource development to meet organizational goals. Assist in managing facilities, safety, and aesthetic standards aligned with Buckner branding. Represent Buckner to community groups, churches, organizations, and government agencies. Promote collaborative leadership that aligns with Buckner's strategic initiatives and supports program leaders. Collaborate with Development and Communications staff to engage donors, partners, and the community. What you ’ll bring : Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred in Social Services, Education, Leadership, or related fields. Minimum 3 years in children and family services program administration and 5 years in business and personnel management. Valid driver’s license, ability to drive, and proof of insurance are required; must be 21 or older. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods.
