Regional Foster Care & Adoption Director

We are seeking a Regional Foster Care & Adoption Director to join our Foster Care & Adoption Program. As a Regional Foster Care & Adoption Director, you will oversee and lead the operations of assigned Domestic Foster Care and Adoption locations. You will develop and implement plans to meet overall goals and objectives, demonstrate operational competence for continued program development and ensure compliance with all contract guidelines, state licensing standards, and federal regulations as well as Buckner's mission, vision, values, policies and procedures. Develop and manage staff and professional resources to provide clinical and programmatic services to clients. Join our team and shine hope in the lives of others! What You'll Do:

Analyze program needs; develop, modify, implement and monitor programs to meet the changing needs of clients, customers, and other stakeholders; demonstrate operational competence in managing resources. Actively participate in regular treatment team meetings and special staffing as needed. Audit charts; evaluate against Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) and Youth for Tomorrow (YFT) standards. Participate in screening and licensing processes of potential foster and adoptive parents; Approve foster and adoptive home studies. Review and approve admission of clients into the foster care program and adoptive placements where required. Respond to outside requests for case history and documents. Write curriculum and facilitate training for active and potential foster and adoptive parents if required. Oversee and assist in crisis intervention for assigned locations. Participate in planning, implementing, and facilitating family/community-based activities and events. Perform quality assurance inspections of assigned facilities and programs as needed; identify potential corrective actions; discuss findings/concerns with Senior Director and oversee any required adjustments. What You'll Bring:

Bachelor degree in social work or similar field required. A Master's Degree in Social Services or a related field is preferred. Minimum 5 years prior related experience in the professional delivery of domestic foster care/adoption services required. Minimum 5 years prior related experience delivering administrative/supervisory responsibilities required. Must hold and maintain a Child Placing Agency Administrator's license. A current, valid Texas Child Placing Administrator's license required. Requires knowledge and understanding of the legalities involved with medical/clinical intervention. Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner's insurance policy. Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner. Requires ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people. Requires ability to walk, stand and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
