A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Washington, D.C. The candidate will have a strong foundation in tribal and federal Indian law, with 3-5 years of experience. This role involves providing legal support, crafting advocacy before Congress and federal agencies, and assisting in litigation. The position offers growth opportunities in a collaborative environment. Duties

Provide counsel and legal services to clients. Advocate before Congress and federal agencies. Develop strategies for client issues in Congress and with agencies. Track and research Congressional legislation and federal regulations. Draft testimony, briefing papers, and talking points. Draft agreements and analyze legal documents. Comply with court, state bar, and office policies. Participate in business development functions. Requirements

3-5 years of experience in relevant legal fields. Experience with Indian tribes or tribal entities on various legal issues. Familiarity with tribal and federal Indian law. Excellent analytical, research, and writing abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team. Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings and hearings. Effective communication skills with Tribal clients and agency representatives. Education

Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school. Certifications

Active member in good standing of D.C. bar or other state jurisdiction. Skills
