We seek an experienced leader to join as a Technical Director, providing technical leadership and mentorship, preferably based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Role
As a
Technical Consulting Director, EHS and Air Compliance and Management Systems , you will develop compliance, assurance, and management systems across various industries, engaging with innovative clients to develop world-class EHS solutions. You will work with senior EHS leaders and leverage ERM’s global expertise to implement novel solutions at the intersection of compliance and sustainability. The ideal candidate is a highly organized technical leader, an effective communicator, and influencer, with strong operational risk and EHS management experience. You will support growth by delivering excellent work, fostering client relationships, mentoring future leaders, and enhancing ERM’s reputation in EHS sustainability solutions. Key Responsibilities
Focus on EHS industry relationships and delivering high-value services. Develop and deploy EHS compliance solutions and management systems. Deliver air, water, and waste permitting, compliance, and performance improvements. Lead EHS audit programs. Integrate ESG factors into EHS systems, compliance, and audits. Listen to clients’ needs and co-develop innovative solutions. Mentor a high-performance team and serve as a technical leader. Requirements
Relevant academic background in science, engineering, safety, or environmental management. 8-12+ years (preferably 15+) of progressive EHS and supervisory experience. Strong understanding of environmental regulations, compliance strategies, and operationalizing sustainability goals. Passion for EHS performance improvement and developing top-tier EHS programs. Deep understanding of client needs and relationships. About ERM
