$200,000.00 USD Annually - $235,000.00 USD Annually
Description
A renowned Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company operating in the Food Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Director of Maintenance & Reliability for their Chicago plant. This position will oversee the entire maintenance program including multiple managers (Reliability, Execution, Facilities/Utilities, Automation/Controls) and an indirect maintenance team of 100+ employees. The company is a global leader in food manufacturing and is seeking top talent within the high-speed consumer goods industry.
Compensation : $200,000 - $245,000 + 25% bonus + LTIP. Benefits begin day 1: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 20 days PTO, 401k with 6% match, merit increase review.
Relocation package available based on individual situation.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee 4 Maintenance Managers (Facilities, Reliability, Execution, Automation) and 100+ indirect maintenance reports.
Operate in a union environment.
Implement TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) pillars.
Leverage experience in Consumer Packaged Goods, Food, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Drive uptime performance of production and utility assets through leadership and preventative/predictive maintenance programs.
Implement Progressive Maintenance Strategies aligned with TPM & Lean Six Sigma programs.
Provide hands-on leadership and technical training to staff.
Manage maintenance activities to optimize resource and funding efficiency.
Foster a proactive culture focused on preventative maintenance.
Support operational standards, line speeds, and efficiency improvements.
Coach and develop maintenance leadership staff.
Coordinate maintenance activities, including capital projects, to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure safety and compliance with GMPs and SOPs, prioritizing food safety.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, STEM, or related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years' experience in maintenance leadership within manufacturing.
Experience with TPM or Lean Six Sigma is advantageous.
Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance planning.
Experience managing mechanical and electrical technicians and managers.
Budget management experience (CAPEX, OPEX, MRO).
