Director of Engineering
to lead capital projects, drive innovation, and optimize manufacturing performance across our facilities. Responsibilities
Lead all engineering activities across multiple production sites, ensuring optimal equipment performance, facility design, and process efficiency. Develop and execute capital investment strategies, including planning, budgeting, and commissioning of new lines, expansions, and upgrades. Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to support throughput, safety, and cost-reduction goals. Manage internal and external engineering resources (project managers, contractors, integrators, OEMs, etc.). Own preventative and predictive maintenance strategy development in collaboration with plant maintenance leads. Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, FSMA), environmental standards, and OSHA/EHS guidelines. Build a high-performing technical team through mentoring, recruitment, and performance management. Stay ahead of industry trends, automation solutions, and sustainable manufacturing technologies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related); Master’s degree a plus. 7+ years of progressive engineering leadership in the food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing industry. Proven success managing large-scale capital projects and plant expansions. Strong technical knowledge of food processing systems, packaging equipment, utilities (e.g., boilers, chillers, air handling), and automation platforms. Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and related regulatory compliance requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience with lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or CI methodologies. Details
