Job Description
Operate a variety of equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within a plant, office, or warehouse. Maintain accurate records and develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within the designated process area. Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks following prescribed steps and adhering to quality guidelines. Work under general to limited supervision, obtaining and maintaining appropriate licenses and certifications as needed. Demonstrate effective communication skills to interact with co-workers and supervisors. Comply with safety regulations and perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Critical Information
Must have two years of experience operating an electric pallet jack (EPJ). Ability to read pick tickets, labels, and use handheld scanners or RF devices. High school diploma or GED required. Drug test required. This position may have exposure to various environmental conditions including extreme temperatures and noise.
Education/Licenses Needed
High school diploma or equivalent. Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related training.
