The Social Services Department at UHealth has several LCSW positions at various locations: North Miami, Coral Gables and Downtown.
Sign On Bonus: $5,000
CORE JOB SUMMARYThe Social Worker, LCSW works with clients in order to help them deal with issues involving mental and emotional health. This position provides emotional support, mental health evaluations and therapy, and case management services.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS1. Advocates for and helps clients gain access to resources while confronting their personal issues.2. Counsels and provides crisis intervention for patients, including assessment and treatment of behavioral problems.3. Coaches patients on how to manage ongoing health conditions.4. Provides therapy to help patients make positive behavior changes.5. Assists patients and their families through individual, group, and education conferences to understand, accept, and follow treatment recommendations.6. Refers patients and their families to specialized treatment programs in accordance with their needs, and monitors and evaluates their progress.7. Collaborates with the other departments to integrate care where needed.8. Maintains current and appropriate documentation in patient chart.9. Acts as a mandated reporter in suspected child abuse cases.10. Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
