Director of Healthcare & Life Sciences Engineering Projects
We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to serve as
Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences Projects . This role involves overseeing the design and execution of complex new construction and renovation initiatives in healthcare and research environments. The director manages multi-disciplinary teams, maintains client relationships, and ensures project delivery from proposal through completion—on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team (MEP-focused) through all phases of healthcare and life sciences facility projects. Manage technical quality using structured QA/QC processes. Oversee project management: staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Serve as the main client liaison; manage proposals, contracts, and presentations. Collaborate with senior leadership to support business development and departmental operations. Maintain department budget, resource planning, and revenue forecasting. Ensure code compliance (NFPA, FGI, AHJ) and high technical standards. Required Qualifications: PE license and Bachelor’s in Engineering. 15+ years of engineering experience with emphasis on critical care and lab facility design. Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, IT systems design within healthcare/life sciences. Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and tools (Revit, AutoCAD, eQUEST, Carrier HAP). Proven leadership and client-facing project management skills. Familiarity with LEED standards is a plus. This role offers advancement potential to
